Both titepati (Artemisia vulgaris) and banmara (Eupatorium cannabium Linn) are medicinal plants that can be applied for the treatment of cuts and wounds.

Titepati is also used as an offering to the gods, for cleansing the environment - by sweeping floors or hanging a bundle outside the home - and as incense.

“Tite” means bitter and “pati” leaf.

Local people also use Banmara as natural fertilizer and its root juice is used for the treatment of fever.

“Ban” means forest and “mara” killer.

These pieces keep a nice, subtle scent from the leaves.
