Hand dyed with banmara leaves by Ajay, exclusively for this piece, in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Banmara (Eupatorium cannabium Linn) is a medicinal plant that can be applied for the treatment of cuts and wounds.

Local people in Nepal also use Banmara as natural fertilizer and its root juice is used for the treatment of fever.

“Ban” means forest and “mara” killer.

Banmara leaves were collected by Kavita in Mulpani village.

Please be aware of the unevenness and the irregularities in the dye.

The shirt presents one front large patch pocket. Back box pleat with loop. Buttoned cuffs. Flat felled and french seams.

Individually hand cut by Binod and stitched by Sangita and Kavita in Kathmandu, Nepal.
